Celebration on Oct. 2 at the Blackbird Paradise garden. The afternoon's
activities included guest chef Brian Molino, potato
harvest, apple taste test, crafts, face paint

$740 to help local farms affected by Hurricane Irene.

Matt Parrottino earns coveted spot on Section II golf state
championship team
Voorheesville's varsity golf team won its
third consecutive Class C/D team title and now Matt Parrottino
has earned a spot on the Section II state championship
golf team. Matt shot a 153 (76-77) at the Section II
state qualifier at Orchard Creek on Thursday, Oct. 13. »

Blood drive Tuesday, Oct. 18
Clayton A. Bouton High School's Student Government will
hold its annual fall American Red Cross Blood
Drive next Tuesday, Oct. 18,
in the middle school gym from 8 a.m.- 1 p.m.
The Red Cross is in critical need of blood donations. Appointments can be set by emailing Tom Gladd at
tgladd@vcsdk12.org.
Please include "Blood Drive" in the subject line.
Walk-ins are also welcome.

Elementary school goes with one less report card, one more parent conference
A new grade reporting system is in place this school
year at Voorheesville Elementary. The system has been
modified from one parent conference and four report
cards to three written report cards and two parent
conference opportunities. Mr. Reardon discusses the new
system and the opportunities it provides for parents and
students in his latest Principal's Corner.
