Portfolio Preparation

Teacher: Ms. Marie Triller ext.433

Portfolio Preparation is a half-year course which is offered each fall semester. Prerequisites are Studio in Art and Drawing and Painting 1. Though designed for juniors and seniors planning to study art in college, all serious art students are welcome.

Students will complete in depth assignments such as a large drapery study of a flag rendered in charcoal, a "series" project in which one subject is explored in a variety of media, and a life-sized self-portrait.

Portfolio students will create their own Senior Showcase in the main lobby, highlighting their finest artworks, and will participate in an off-campus art exhibition. The course culminates with a gallery and/or art museum trip to New York City.
