MS and HS "B" Day

Lunch:  Corned Beef & Cabbage, Potatoes, Carrots, Dinner Roll, Fresh Fruit, and Milk

Soup of the Day:  Beef Vegetable


Rehearsals for Select Chorus and T'Tones are cancelled today. Rehearsals will resume next week.

Middle school Drama Club will be holding final auditions today for their two plays, "The Brothers Grimm" and "Murder at the Banquet," right after school in the Cafeteria. You must see Mr. Glisson by the end of the day if you cannot attend but would still like to be a part of the productions.

Join Casey Morrison and Karen Obertubbesing for an exciting presentation on their recent trip to Nicaragua. All are welcome to today's United for Peace and Justice Club meeting at 2:30 in Ms. Triller's room.

Both Varsity and JV Baseball teams will practice today from 2:30 to 4:30 in the high school Gym. Players need to make sure they have warm clothes for going outside.

Attention Tennis Players: The tennis courts will be available for hitting after school today. The first varsity practice will be held on tomorrow at 3:00.

Tonight is Fuddruckers Night on Wolf Road in Colonie. Eat a lot; don't be shy. Support the junior class by eating delicious a meal. Make sure you bring your flyer with you. The junior class appreciates your support.

Anyone interested in lifeguard certification or in renewing their existing CPR certification must sign up with Mrs. Vorse by the end of the day today.

Guest passes are available for this Saturday's Lady Ga Ga Dance. Students can pick up, complete and return guest passes to the Associate Principal's office. Approved guest passes will be returned to students on Friday at Noon.

Attention All Mandarin Chinese Students: The Chinese program will begin meeting again this week. Seventh and 8th grade students should report to Room 229 after school tomorrow.

Writers Club will meet tomorrow after school in the middle school Computer Room.

The junior class is excited to announce that it is time to Dodgeball! Sign-ups will be held all this week during 7th period in the Commons. The cost is $2.00 per player. Teams can be made up of 6 to 10 players. This year will prove to be the best dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodgeball tournament ever. See you at the sign-ups.

Pre-sale ticket order forms for "Bye Bye Birdie" are now available in the middle school and high school offices. Pick up your order form and order your tickets early to avoid the rush.

The Voorheesville School District presents the 2nd Annual Voorheesville Technology and Media Arts Festival next Tuesday, March 23 at 6:30 p.m. here at the high school. Come see the best technology work done by our current students and alumni. Admission is free. Refreshments will be served.

Attention 10th, 11th, and 12th grade boys. Just a reminder that Voorheesville is looking for a Champion; someone to be our Knight in Shining Armor. If you have what it takes, see Mrs. Vorse for an application and maybe you will be selected as a contestant for Mr. Voorheesville 2010.

The results are in. The winning class from the high school Penny War was the Senior Class. They will be treated to an ice cream social.

Student Government will host a Red Cross Blood Drive on Tuesday, March 30th. Students can sign up during lunch periods or by contact a Student Government officer.

Attention SADD Members: There will be a mandatory meeting today after school until 3:00 in the Health room. All members are asked to attend.

Come and watch the Badminton Tournament today after school. You will see crazy costumes and a showcase of Voorheesville badminton talent. Stay until 6 p.m. and see the champions get crowned. There will be a concession stand available and official Badminton Tournament T-shirts will be sold. Admission is only $2.00 per person.
