Associate Principal Theresa Kennedy On behalf of all our dedicated faculty and staff, allow me to welcome everyone back for another exciting school year at Voorheesville Middle School. The school year began with our traditional "Locker Night," and an outstanding presentation by Akua Goodrich, a keynote speaker selected by our students at the Youth Leadership Summit at Sage. We are looking forward to an exciting year in which the students focus on taking a greater responsibility for the tasks at hand and consistently showing respect for themselves and others. The traditional philosophy here at the Middle School is “You are the choices you make!” This is true academically, socially, and emotionally. I would like to encourage parents to be an integral part of their children’s education by maintaining their interest and active involvement in school. Take advantage of opportunities to chaperone the monthly Teen Nights, communicate with teachers, and talk to your children. The Middle School years are both exciting and nerve-wracking. . . . . . .like a great roller coaster ride! Hang on and enjoy the ride; the experience is priceless! |
