The first-ever Mr. Voorheesville competition provided residents and
students with an evening full of fun, music and entertainment, as a
group of tenth- through twelfth-grade boys vied for the title.

Lockdown drill held on May 28
On Thursday, May 28, at approximately 9:20 a.m., Voorheesville Middle
School and Clayton A. Bouton High School held a prescheduled lockdown
drill with the Albany County Sheriff's Department. The drill took about
29 minutes and went smoothly thanks to the cooperation of students
and staff.
Voters approve district budget

The 2009-10 budget passed with 566 yes
votes to 290 no.
A separate bus proposition was also approved with 574 yes to 270 no. In
the Board of Education race, two open seats were filled by incumbents
Cheryl Dozier (653) and C. James Coffin (497).

Summer reading program announced
Clayton A. Bouton High School's English
and social studies departments have announced summer reading assignments
for students entering ninth- through twelfth-grade in the 2009-10 school
year.
