Arts

The high school's art program assists students with developing their appreciation for and understanding of the various art disciplines and the contributions of art in our society. Link to course guide.  Learn more about the art program

Business

In today's global economy, it is important that all students have a knowledge of the economic and financial world in which they live. Business Education provides students with the foundation to pursue programs such as business administration, accounting, marketing, management, law and finance. Link to course guide.

English

In grade 9 a heterogeneous English curriculum is offered. An honors program is available to students in grade 10. Honors English in grade 11 is a combine course with AP U.S. History. Seniors may elect to take AP English Literature. Link to course guide.

Family and Consumer Science

Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) combines aspects of social and natural sciences. Courses are offered in nutrition, interior decorating, child development and food science. Link to course guide.

Foreign Language

Foreign language instruction begins in middle school. Most students earn one high school credit in grade 8. French and Spanish are offered through Level 5. College credit is received from the University at Albany for completion of the fourth and fifth levels. Link to course guide.

Mathematics

Acceleration is available to students in junior high school. All students must pass three high school math courses to graduate. Students may progress through Math Course III, Pre-Calculus and AP Calculus AB. AP Statistics can be taken as an elective.  Link to course guide.

Physical Education/Health

P.E. is required each year. A Health course is also a diploma requirement. Link to course guide.

Science

Acceleration is available to students in junior high school. Regents coursework is offered in Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry & Physics. Advanced Placement courses are offered in Biology and Chemistry. Environmental Science and Meteorology may be taken as electives. Link to course guide.

Social Sciences

All ninth graders take an introductory Global History class. Sophomores choose between AP World History and Regents Global Studies. Juniors may pursue a combine course in AP U.S. History and English 11 Honors. Seniors may choose AP Economics or they may take the required courses in economics and government. Elective courses are available in Psychology, Sociology and AP Psychology. Link to course guide.

Technology

The technology program includes classes in architectural drawing, media production, photography, digital graphics, computer programming and much more. Link to course guide.
